Nexus II is located on the north campus of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona.
It is the second building constructed by El Consorci to promote university-company knowledge transfer. It is a unique, functional and aesthetically pleasing building, designed by Ricardo Bofill.
El Consorci, in collaboration with the UPC, is responsible for its management and leases out open spaces, easily adaptable as offices and workplaces (between 25 and 400 m2) for start-up companies linked to the university and technology companies.
High-profile companies — including the BSC Supercomputing Centre, Urbiótica and Kic InnoEnergy — have chosen the facility for its privileged location, advanced technical features and links with hi-tech professionals, projects and R&D developed in its university environment.
