THE SECOND INMOTECNIA RENT IS A GREAT SUCCESS WITH THE VISITORS AND EXHIBITORS

Barcelona, 23 May 2018. The second edition of Inmotecnia Rent, the Real Estate and New Technologies Exhibition opened in Hall 1 of the Montjuic-Plaza España in Fira de Barcelona trade fair facilities this morning. Inmotecnia Rent was officially opened by Enric Millo, delegate of Spanish Government in Catalonia, accompanied by Carina Mejías, president of the Municipal Group of Ciutadans, Jordi Cornet, president of Barcelona Meeting Point; Joan Ollé, president of the API Collective (Real Estate Agents of Catalonia), and Hervé Parent, President of NEWTECH.

“We are delighted with the response to the second edition of Inmotecnia Rent, a trade fair that responds to a new need that has arisen with the boom in PropTech,” said Jordi Cornet. “Technology companies focused on the real estate sector grew by 250% in 2017 and this growth is expected to accelerate sharply in 2018. PropTech needed this showcase, since few real estate professionals are aware of how new technologies can improve efficiency”. Cornet explained that “Inmotecnia Rent is the sum of efforts of the Consorci de la Zona Franca in Barcelona through Barcelona Meeting Point, the API Collective and French company NEWTECH and has shown, once again, that the results are better when we work together”.

Inmotecnia Rent will have more than 60 exhibiting companies from the BIM, 3D Construction, real estate websites, image, virtual and augmented reality, management platforms, Peer to Peer, FinTech, digital signage, big data, and home automation sectors. It will also have an exclusive area for start-ups and new companies, such as 3DS, Alveen, BrickFunding, ElWorking, Finteca, Flatfit APP, Hauzd, Level-VR, Lok-iz, MyPlazze, Pronest, Realo, Smarthab, Solen, You Can Deco, among others. Jordi Cornet explained that “we have been helped by La Salle Technova, which has organised an exhibition area, where selected start-ups will present their best solutions and talent in the estate agency area. The start-ups will use this space for private meetings with investors and for presenting their projects to entrepreneurs, sector companies and other potential partners”.

Keys for increasing efficiency in sales and marketing

Inmotecnia Rent has two conference rooms where simultaneous sessions are held on efficiency in sales and marketing. Among the speakers to appear today are James Dearsley, CEO at The Digital Marketing Bureau and PropTech Influencer with the session “How PropTech will change the life of real estate agents”; Juan Merodio, blogger, speaker and international advisor in marketing and digital transformation, who will share his views on the digital transformation taking place in the real estate world. Godefroy Jordan, co-founder and CEO of Smarthab, will also share tips on selling real estate with home automation.

Tomorrow, Thursday, 24 May, Silvia Loyal, an international expert in e-leadership, Digital Transformation and Innovation, will talk about e-leadership and how the Internet of Things, 3D Printing, drones and gamification will transform our lives. Matthew Ferrara, photographer, consultant and featured keynote speaker, will explain aspects of good practices on the internet for real estate agents.

A new site with more space

Inmotecnia Rent is taking place in Spain for the second time in the wake of last year’s success, which was attended by 45 sponsors and exhibiting companies and more than 1,000 professional visitors. This year the figures have grown, and the exhibition has found a larger venue in Hall 1 at Fira de Barcelona. Inmotecnia Rent is based on RENT (Real Estate New Technologies), which has been organised for the last five years in Paris, proving extremely popular with exhibitors and the public. To emulate this idea and export it to our country, the Consorci de la Zona Franca in Barcelona, through its subsidiary, Barcelona Meeting Point, and the API Collective of Catalunya, joined forces with NEWTECH in 2017, the organiser of the RENT exhibition in Paris.

Inmotecnia Rent is a professional trade fair. A one-day pass costs €165 and a two-day pass costs €253. The exhibition will run from Thursday 23 to Friday 24 May from 10 to 18.30.
